MEET ME @ THE ‘T’ – Launch Party

For a ‘blogger’, it is rare that I find myself at a loss for words. I expected this to be especially true when documenting the launch of Meet Me @ the ‘T’. I was very lucky to share this extremely important day (for me) with almost 100 of my friends and supporters but I am left struggling to articulate just how much it meant…on paper. There is an old adage ‘A picture paints a thousand words’ and it could not be more appropriate at this moment. I will go with that and let the many pictures do most the talking.

The event was hosted by good friends, C (the paintedbanker) and wife, K at their beautiful gallery-like home in Toronto!

It was the perfect canvas for featuring C’s very own artwork and a few vignettes showcasing goodies from my blog put together by long time friend, Yien of Rêve Event Design.

Getting the space ready for the festivities. My DIY reupholstered chair fitting in nicely beside the grand piano. My very own sewing and crochet creations displayed on 3 Judys.

Molly, the only 4-legged member to attend cozying up in one of our vignettes displaying some more reupholstered projects and some hand-sewn hounds tooth pillows.

Guests are starting to show…and so the party begins!

Look at that great looking crowd!

Some more good looking people…hehe.

Thanks K for putting together this eye-catching vignette of the toiletry caddy and the foldover clutch.

Wonderful spread of cheeses generously donated by Carlos at La Salumeria. The Morbier in particular was a hit!

Little wander over to the candy bar.

And maybe a little treat for the road…

Feeling for something a little less indulgent? The homemade guacamole was a crowd favorite! Secret ingredient? Home-dried chiles! Get the recipe here!

Stocked bar and help from Vince and Zack from Big Cocktails who kept the liquids and the party going strong all night.

More sweet treats ahead, all featured on my blog…gluten-free brownies, browned butter blondies and chocolate cupcakes with ganache frosting. The blondies were by far the most popular item on the menu – make them, you will see why.

Goody bags stuffed with homemade granola for our guests and other swag from our sponsors!

Thank you to all those who were able to join us for the party and for continuing to be an inspiration for me on this new adventure – I am so touched! Thank you for your friendship and for your ongoing support! C, K, my hubby and I hope you all had a great time!

Special thanks to the wonderful hosts C, K and their family for being so supportive and generous with their time and home.

Big thank you to my sponsors for your very generous contributions!!!
